---## 1. Ticket Purchase & Pricing### Pricing & Taxes
All ticket prices are subject to applicable taxes:
- GST (Goods & Services Tax): 5%
Taxes will be clearly displayed at checkout before final purchase confirmation.### Payment Terms
- Payment required in full at time of purchase
- Accepted payment methods: Credit card, debit card, and Link.
- Currency: All prices listed in USD, payment processed accordingly
- Payment confirmation will be sent via email upon successful transaction
- Welcome email will be sent seperately within 24 hours of payment.

## 2. Age Requirements & Eligibility### Minimum Age
- 19+ years only - Valid government-issued photo ID required for entry
- No exceptions - Attendees under 19 will be denied entry without refund
### Registration Requirements
- Full legal name as it appears on government ID
- Valid email address for all communications
- Dietary restrictions/allergies (see Section 7 below)
---## 3. Refund & Cancellation Policy### Non-Refundable Policy
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable
### Ticket Transfers
Tickets may be transferred until April 30, 2026:
- Transfer request: Email [email protected]
- Required information: Original purchaser name, new attendee name, confirmation of transfer acceptance
- ID verification: Both parties must provide government ID verification
- New attendee confirmation: Recipient must confirm acceptance via email
- No transfer fees charged by organizer
- Deadline: No transfers accepted after April 30, 2026
### Force Majeure Refunds
90% refund available only if event is cancelled due to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather
- War, terrorism, or civil disorder
- Government regulations or public health orders
- Transportation strikes or curtailments beyond organizer control
Refund process: 90% of original ticket price (less processing fees and taxes) within 60 days of cancellation announcement.---## 4. Event Details & Schedule### Event Schedule
- Friday, May 29: Opening ceremony 1:00 PM - Evening networking
- Saturday, May 30: Full programming 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (VIP dinner 7:00 PM)
- Sunday, May 31: Final programming 9:00 AM - Closing ceremony 4:00 PM
### What's Included
All tickets include:
- Access to all main programming (keynotes, panels, workshops)
- Friday dinner
- Saturday lunch
- Sunday lunch
- Welcome materials and conference swag
- Networking opportunities and breaks
VIP tickets additionally include:
- Premium seating at all sessions
- Exclusive Saturday evening dinner with speakers
- Meet & greet opportunities with headline speakers
- VIP networking areas and priority access
### What's NOT Included
- Accommodation - Guest responsibility to book separately (the venue hotel offers a deal to our convention guests).
- Transportation - Airfare and local transport at guest expense
- Friday breakfast, Saturday breakfast, Sunday dinner - Not provided
(Included meals are Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, and Sunday lunch)
- Alcoholic beverages - Not included in meal service
- Personal travel insurance - Strongly recommended for out of country travellers

- 20-minute SkyTrain ride to downtown Vancouver
- YVR Airport access via hotel shuttles or public transit

- Capacity: Maximum 640 guests at round tables of 6
- Accessibility: Full accessibility accommodations available through hotel
### Venue Policies
- Professional conduct expected at all times
- Lost items: Venue and organizers not responsible for lost or stolen property
- Venue security: Subject to hotel security policies and procedures
---## 7. Dietary Requirements & Food Service### Meal Inclusions
- Friday dinner (typically 6:00-8:00 PM)
- Saturday lunch (typically 12:00-1:30 PM)
- Sunday lunch (typically 12:00-1:30 PM)
### Dietary Restrictions & Allergies
MUST be submitted by May 9th, 2026 via one of these methods:

Available accommodations:
- Vegetarian meals
- Common allergy considerations (nuts, dairy, gluten, etc.)
- Other dietary restrictions (specify in communication)
Important: If dietary needs are not submitted by May 9th, 2026, meals will be ordered with standard menu and no special accommodations can be guaranteed.---## 8. Code of Conduct & Behavior### Expected Conduct
All attendees must maintain professional, respectful behavior including:
- Respectful interaction with speakers, staff, and fellow attendees
- No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
- Compliance with venue policies and local laws
- Appropriate language and behavior in all settings
### Prohibited Behavior
Zero tolerance policy for:
- Harassment of any kind (verbal, physical, or digital)
- Discriminatory language or behavior
- Disruption of presentations or networking activities
- Intoxication or substance abuse
- Any illegal activities
Enforcement: Violation may result in immediate removal without refund.---## 9. Photography & Recording Policy### Attendee Photography
Personal use photography permitted:
- Smartphone cameras for personal photos and social media sharing
- Short video clips for social media (under 2 minutes)
- Social media sharing encouraged
### Prohibited Recording
NOT permitted:
- Professional camera equipment (DSLR, video cameras, professional lighting)
- Extensive or disruptive recording of presentations or sessions
- Live streaming by attendees (official streams available separately)
- Commercial use of any recordings without written permission
### Event Photography
Organizers reserve the right to:
- Photograph and record event activities
- Use attendee photos/videos for promotional purposes
- Grant media access for coverage and documentation
By attending, you consent to appearing on video/photos for promotional use.---## 10. Prohibited Items### Not Permitted in Venue
- Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)
- Outside food or beverages (except personal water bottles)
- Professional recording equipment (see Section 9)
- Promotional materials not approved by organizers
- Large bags or luggage
### Security Screening
- Bag checks may be conducted at venue entrance
- ID verification required for entry
- Right to refuse entry for non-compliance with policies
---## 11. Health & Safety### Medical Emergencies
- Organizers not responsible for medical emergencies or health issues
- Trained volunteers available to assist until emergency responders arrive
- Emergency services: Standard emergency response protocols in place
### Travel & Health Insurance
- Strongly recommended for all attendees
- Guest responsibility for all health, travel, and accident coverage
- Pre-existing conditions: Consult healthcare provider before travel
### Venue Safety
- Emergency procedures: Follow venue and hotel safety protocols
- Evacuation plans: Posted throughout venue, announced if needed
- First aid: Available through hotel and trained volunteer staff
---## 12. Speaker & Programming### Programming Subject to Change
- Speaker lineup and schedule may change due to circumstances beyond control
- Reasonable notice provided for major changes when possible
- No refunds for speaker or schedule modifications
### Speaker Cancellation Policy
If major speaker cannot attend:
- Live webinar makeup session for ticket holders
- Virtual presentation streamed live to in-person audience
- Alternative programming of equal or greater value
### Content Disclaimer
- Speakers express their own views - not necessarily those of organizers
- Educational content only - not professional advice
- Implementation at your own risk - results not guaranteed
---## 13. Intellectual Property### Event Content
- Presentations and materials remain property of respective speakers
- Event recordings owned by The Living Internet Alliance
- Attendee usage: Personal notes and learning permitted, redistribution prohibited
### Confidentiality
- Respect speaker intellectual property - no unauthorized recording or distribution
- Networking conversations - maintain appropriate business confidentiality
- Event community - what happens in sessions stays in sessions
---## 14. After-Party & Additional Events### Separate Ticketing
- After-party requires separate ticket purchase
- VIP early access to after-party ticket sales
- Limited capacity (100 tickets available)
- Separate terms & conditions apply to after-party events
### Book Sales & Merchandise
- Speaker books and materials available for purchase at event
- No returns or refunds on merchandise
- Cash or card payment accepted at merchandise tables
---## 15. Data Privacy & Communications### Information Collection
We collect only necessary information:
- Name, email, dietary requirements for event logistics
- Payment information processed securely through Showpass
- Photos/videos for promotional use (see Section 9)
### Communication Preferences
- Event updates sent via email to registered address
- Circle Community access optional but recommended
- Marketing communications opt-in only
### Data Protection
- Secure handling of all personal information
- No sharing with third parties except as required for event logistics
- Retention period: Data deleted within 12 months post-event
---## 16. Limitation of Liability### Organizer Liability
The Living Internet Alliance and its organizers are not liable for:
- Personal injury or property damage during event
- Travel delays, cancellations, or complications
- Accommodation issues or problems with partner hotels
- Network outages or technical difficulties
- Content or advice provided by speakers
- Interactions between attendees
### Maximum Liability
Total liability limited to: Original ticket purchase price per attendee.
### Attendee Responsibility
Attendees are responsible for:
- Their own safety and conduct
- Travel and accommodation arrangements
- Compliance with all terms and venue policies
- Any damages they cause to property or other persons
---## 17. Legal Terms### Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
### Dispute Resolution
- First step: Direct communication with event organizers
- Mediation: Required before legal action
- Jurisdiction: British Columbia courts for any legal proceedings
### Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining terms continue in full effect.
### Entire Agreement
These terms constitute the complete agreement between organizer and attendee.
